My weekend started off with us stopping by the Outdoor Market that my niece Angie was selling her beautiful creations.

The first time that I told her that she was turning into her Mom; she got upset. That was when she was 18…

I loved the child she was and the woman that she has become. I am so proud of her and all my nieces and nephews. They all make me smile.

I couldn’t resist purchasing this cute little owl pendant from the lady next door to Angie. I have a little obsession with owls,

and butterflies and crosses. Vonnie Murphy was the lady who made these and I loved her answer when I asked her if she made them. She told me yes and that she only sold at small markets and told me that she wasn’t in it for the money; that she loved making things. She also makes fun unique handmade baby items. You can look her up at http://www.facebook/sweetpea9412.com

Cricket Alley Boutique is the little shop that was holding the Outdoor Market. The shop is in an old house that they have renovated. I loved how they made it so bright and cheery inside. They hold an Outdoor Market on the third Saturday of September every year. John and I had a good time shopping at the little Outdoor Market.

The rest of the day I spent shopping and crocheting. John and I decided to try out a new restaurant and found that Dempsey’s Burger Pub is a pretty awesome place to get a burger and fries.

Of course neither one of us could finish the huge burger so we both took 1/2 of them to go. And I wanted to stop in College Hill Creamery to get an ice cream cone.

I couldn’t resist having John take a picture of us in front of that beautiful turquoise door. 🙂 We ended the night with a movie at home.

I love taking pictures of these two. Miss Ava is growing up so fast and is so much like her Momma. Ava told me how much she loves to swing. I told her that I loved to swing too. If I had my choice I would swing and spend the day in a pool all day. 😉

This was as close as I could come in getting the 6 little boys together for a group photo. Travis was trying so hard to get them all to sit along the edge of the slide but we had to settle for this one. I think it was perfect.

Mother’s Day ended with dinner with Jennifer and John. I was so glad that we arrived early for dinner at Red Lobster. We only had to wait about 10 minutes and we were out of there before the crowd came in.

and John had the Parmesan encrusted Talapia. We all had a wonderful meal and good conversation. I enjoyed my Mother’s Day.

And 7 little boys hats for the Kansas Barn Sale. John told me that I needed to make 36 of them. I had better get busy, huh? We will see how many I get done before I get bored with them and have to start something else. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and I hope that you all make the most of your week ahead.
Sounds like a fun and productive weekend, Tamara! Enjoyed all the photos and the love you have for crochet, handmade goodies and your family. It doesn’t appear that you were affected by the tornadoes over the weekend. Whew.

I enjoyed reading about your lovely weekend. Your niece is very talented, nearly as talented as your good self. Love all those boys hats! Have a great week.

As always, love seeing all you get accomplish.
If I got half as much done I’d be thrilled.

Hi Tamara!
Angie does have a delightful setup at the Market. My eyes also went to all the light-turquoise items, especially the little “yarn storage unit” that I was surprised to read is part of that cute kid’s kitchen set. LOL
I’ll bet Ava likes that pic of her on the swing –> with her hair in motion. 🙂
Funny that no one ate lobster at the Red Lobster. Haha!!
I enjoyed your family pics .. including the great one of the 6 boys.
Okay, so how did John come up with the number 36 for how many little boys’ hats you ought to make for the Barn Sale? Did he “draw it out of a hat”?!!? Haw-haw-haw!!! 😀
Have a great week, my special friend!
