May 2-7, 2015 Weekend; Cowgirl Boots, Moxi Junction, Craft Show, a Colorway Hat, Cinqo de Mayo, and my Nails

My dear friend Katherine ordered a pair of crocheted cowgirl boots. I ended up making two different sizes so her new granddaughter would have some while she is little and bigger for when she grows. I enjoyed seeing Katherine, since it had been a year since I saw her last. Thanks so much Katherine for thinking of me when you needed a pair of cowgirl boots. 😉

My sister, Jennifer, Megan and me went to check out Moxi Junction in Maize, Kansas.

I love how each stair has a different encouraging word painted on it.

This was one of the many windows in the upstairs room. It was so sunny and bright and I think it might be perfect for a crochet retreat to be held in. 😉

They even have checkers and other games for you to play while drinking your coffee, tea, or smoothie.

It looks like Megan won the game of checkers. She likes to win, so I let her. 🙂

We sure did enjoy the smoothies. Megan got a mixed berry and I had strawberry. I would certainly recommend anyone in the area of 319 S. Park St. in Maize, Kansas definitely check Moxi Junction out. They also have pastries.

There outdoor area is lovely too.

In the afternoon I visited John at his Craft Show. It was lovely seeing my sister-in-law there.

His table of jewelry was beautiful. His friend Gaye had her pieces of jewelry in it as well.

This is one of John’s creations that I just love.

On Sunday I spent the day creating this Colorway Hat designed by Alessandra Hayden. You can find her creative designs on her website, here.

I also made this headband earwarmer. I love the way it turned out too.

When I came home from work on Tuesday, my gardener was trying out his new weedeater. I was so glad that he got a new one, since his old one wouldn’t hold a charge for more than 5 minutes.

Megan and Jennifer at one our favorite Mexican restaurants called Cholitas. And Megan suggested we go there for Cinqo de Mayo.

I got my nails done. I wish you could see them for real, since they look so much more amazing in person. Ms. Liley did a wonderful job on my nails and the arm and hand massage was just the ticket after such a hard work week.

I hope all of you had a great weekend and week and I would love to hear all about yours. I’m so glad that the weekend is here again. I am looking forward to teaching crochet-on-the-double at Creation Station in Newton on Saturday morning from 10:30-12:30.
