Thanksgiving 2012

I’m going to just let the photos tell the story. I’m so thankful that our family could gather at Mom’s house yet another year. Lots of food was eaten and memories made. What can I say? I told all my friends that there were probably going to be around 50 people at Mom’s on Thanksgiving and I counted and wrote down every one who was there. The count was 48 people and 2 dogs, so I was right, there were 50 there. It was a beautiful day, not much wind and it was shirt sleeve weather. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are thankful as much as I am for the people in my life. I love you all and hope you have a good Friday and wonderful weekend. 🙂

  1. Lovely pics, but I’m a bit upset – John is only in TWO of them!! ??? In fact, his first one is so far down that I was actually getting panicky – heh 🙂
    Have a great weekend.

    • Oh Jill!

You made me smile. I meant to put one more picture of a photo of my Mom with us kids with the spouses in this post, but I forgot it. But I’ll make sure I get it in next time. 🙂 I will also make sure I let John know that you were disappointed in not enough pictures of him. He will get a kick out of that, because I was just telling him the exact same thing when I asked him to try on hats for me yesterday morning so that I could post some photos of him on my blog. I explained to him that everyone loves to see pictures of him on the blog and that’s when I get the most comments. He didn’t believe me of course. 😉 As always thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to comment here, it makes my day.

      Love and Hugs,
      Tamara

  3. Looks ike it was a wonderful Thanksgiving day at the Kingery household. Lots of people I recognize and lots of them I didn’t recognize. So glad youy all could get together.
John and Amber and their children came for lunch and the girls and their families came later in the afternoon. It was a great day for us with all fourteen of us here.

    • Sue,

  4. Happy Black Friday, Tamara! 😀

’twas fun viewing your family being thankful to be together. Cracks me up to see y’all in outdoor sunshine in your shirt sleeves on Thanksgiving! Our highs are mid to high 40’s, which is actually 10º warmer than average so we are happy with thist.

Cynthia & Ken did not come here for dinner BUT they did come by for a 1¼-hr visit before they went to where “his people” are. And she brought me homemade banana-nut bread, sooo delicious homemade deviled eggs, *and* a homemade-by-Ken apple pie (some of which we shared when they were here). Man! Does that guy know how to make an apple pie!! Cynthia said he also prepares some scrumptious fried chicken. He just might be a keeper. Time will tell on that one. 🙂

Enjoy your freedom during your loooong weekend!
    Love ya much ~
    Kat

    • Hi Kat!

Thanks so much for sharing your Thanksgiving happenings with me and thanks so much for stopping by to comment on the photos. We all loved being able to be outside in the nice warm weather. Of course today it is only in the 40’s. As I always say; if you don’t like the weather in Kansas stick around and it will change.

      Love you my Friend,
      Tamara
