Friday Again, I’m Looking Forward to the Weekend, Purple Hats, and Another Crochet Edged Fleece Blanket

I’m so glad that it’s Friday, I’m ready for the weekend, and I can’t believe it’s already Father’s Day on Sunday.

We don’t have anything special planned but I do believe I need to get my hubby some new house slippers, since he loves to wear them around the house. He must have been cold here because he had those thick red socks that have grippers on the bottom along with his croc sandals. He’s so funny. Is anyone planning on doing anything special this weekend with your Father or special man in your life who’s a Daddy to your children? I would love to hear all about your plans are for the weekend.

Anyway, I’m sure you all are anxious to hear all about what I’ve been crocheting, right? If not, I’m still gonna tell you. Ha! Ha! First of all I edged the three granny squares with black and I do love the way they look lined up together. What do you think?

Then I made four newborn hats, wrote and prepared the purple hat pattern that I will be teaching at the Monday KS My Stitch guild meeting.

I do hope everyone will love making it as much I do?

I also edged another fleece blanket with crochet (for charity). So what have you all been up to?

  1. Yes, that is a sweet picture of John and I do agree he needs a new pair of house slippers (some that matches his socks) ha ha just kidding. Love the newborn hats in the purple colors.Today I’m going to make a bag for a cell phone and deliver it to the nursing home for my friend who just became a resident a week ago. Tonight we going to Diedra and Patrick’s house to eat supper. She asked me to bring home made bread to go with the sand plum jelly that I made her last week and gave to her. Have a good weekend girl. sw

    • Hi Sue!

It sounds like you are going to have a wonderful dinner with your daughter and son-in-law. I love it when my daughter cooks for me. 🙂 Have fun making the cell phone case and I hope you have a good visit with your friend.

      Love you,
      Tamara

  2. Wow – I love the way John is looking deeply into your eyes in that photo .. or, I guess, looking deeply into the eye of the camera. Hey ~ I wear socks with my Crocs too .. and I love John’s red socks!

The black border on your grannies looks bee-you-tea-full….
And very lovely purple hats there!

[How come Sue made plum jelly with sand in it? LOL!]

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO JOHN!!

    • BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! That was so funny I laughed out loud and I’m so glad that I’m the only one back in the area where I work. 😉 Thanks for liking the grannies and telling me so. I’ll make sure I tell John you said Happy Father’s Day. Make sure you tell Frank I wish him the same.
