Two Hats and Two Tea Towels

First of all I want to thank each and every one of you for stopping by to read my blog and I especially want to thank the ones of you who take the time out of their busy days to comment, email me, like my post on Facebook, or call me to tell me how much you enjoy reading my words. I can’t tell you how much that means to me. I write what’s in my heart and I hope that it comes through like that. Anyway, all your kind and encouraging words mean so much and help me to continue on. I love you all!

That’s enough about that! Now on to what has come off my hooks in the last few days. First of all here are the two tea towels that I felt the need to crochet an edge on. I love the way they both turned out and hope that someone else will love them as much I did making them. They will be at the Kansas Barn Sale on October 4th.

Here is the white sparkly hat that one of the stylist at ABLS Salon ordered from me on Saturday. You know when people say the saying about how “it’s such a small world”? Well I know it is, because the beautiful young lady who is modeling the white sparkly hat just happens to be a client of the stylist whom I made it for. Talk about a small world.

I fell in love with this yarn when I saw it on Saturday at Hobby Lobby. It’s from their line of “I Love This Yarn” and it’s called COLORS and the color is Madrigal. Anyway I love how the yarn striped and I love how the hat turned out too. So what have you been up to? Any craftiness going on in your world? I would love to hear all about it. Happy Wednesday!

  1. Hey, it’s Wednesday here as well – co-incidinky!!! Love the hats and the teatowels. Don’t know how you fit it in, but perhaps it’s a way for you to relax and be all zen (as Lisa would say). xxx

    • Hi Jill! Thanks so much for loving the things that I make. And yes you and Lisa would be right, my crochet is my zen. Instead of yoga I do crochet. 🙂 🙂 Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. Love and Hugs, Tamara

      • Love you my ‘zen~frens’ 🙂 Also, I am totally in love with that colors yarn too ~ great choice!

  2. Great job on your projects, Tamara! I’m always amazed at how many projects you complete in such a short amount of time. I do understand it is your way to relax, but it is still amazing to me. Really like the projects. I am very impressed at the slouchy beanie that slouches so wonderfully! You picked a great yarn for that one! Your model is pretty, too. 🙂 I haven’t crocheted in a while. I am working on a Christmas themed counted cross stitch project that I am hoping to finish and be able to put out this Christmas. Fingers crossed. Well, maybe not really, because then I couldn’t get any work done! Have a happy day! 🙂

  3. Your kitchen stuff and hats are great! I haven’t crocheted much lately, but really need to work on a couple projects. I am working on my yard and little garden more right now, and pie making, hah!

  4. Hum…..anonymous is me, Susie K!

  5. Tammy, you are sooooooooo good. I just love everything about you and the things about you. sw

  6. Geez, lady, you’re on a roll. LOL
Your edge-crocheted tea towels will sell for sure!! So pretty!
Pretty Pretty sparkly slouchy hat. Those hats look like they wouldn’t stay on well. ??
I too love “I Love This Yarn”!! Am currently using many colors, making 5½” squares that I will eventually slip-stitch together to make an afghan. Each square is one color with yellow for the last round. I will be joining them with the same yellow.
Have also been crocheting some cotton coasters for my nephew, my sister, & my niece. Fun!!

Other than that, I spend quite a bit of time on Instagram .. and also playing Candy Crush on my iPod. LOL! That game has me hooked – so I have slacked off on my reading. Shame!! But I’m having good, clean FUN .. and isn’t that what life is all about? 😀
    Huggy-Love,
    Kat

  7. I love these! you are so talented. I want cold weather so I can wear my shawl! I have been hugging it all summer. Love it and u

  8. I always enjoy your blog, but don’t often comment. I hope to be half the crocheter you are “when I grow up”. 🙂 You are certainly an inspiration to those of us who love to crochet.
