TGIF! More Galilee Booties and My Upcoming Crochet Class Schedule

1

As usual I am glad it’s Friday again and it just happens to be Valentine’s Day. John and I don’t do anything special on Valentine’s Day of course he’s more of a romantic than I am so we will see what transpires throughout the day. 😉 Now on to the crochet front…..one of my Crochet 101 students saw the newborn Galilee booties that I had made for a shop model and wanted to buy them. Since the booties were not for sale I told her that I would make her a pair.

And if you know me if the first pair turn out so cute that you can’t stand it, then I have to make another pair. I just love making these little booties and am looking forward to teaching classes on how to make them.

I am also going to teach how to attach the shelf lining material to the bottom of the larger slippers, which should be lots of fun. I thought I would share my upcoming class schedule with all of you in case someone out there wants to take a class for:

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the weekend and getting to spend some time with my Mom. I will be taking her to see my brother Terry who has been in the hospital. I will find out today whether we have to go to the hospital to see him or his home. Either way it will be good to see both of them. Anyone have any special plans for the weekend? I would love to hear about them.

  1. I love those booties. I finally got the pattern and can’t wait to stitch them up. Here’s a tip. I was at the Dollar tree the other day and they have shelf liner over there. You can get a roll of 12″ x 60″ for just $1.00. Pretty awesome. Have a great V-Day and see you on Monday!

    • Hi Donna!

I’m so glad that you love the booties and that you are going to make some too. I know you will have fun making them. 🙂 Thank you for the tip on Dollar Tree; I have gotten mine at Dollar General and the thinner linings are $1 per roll and $2 per roll for the thicker ones. I will have to check out the Dollar Tree to see if they have any different colors. Happy Valentine’s Day to you too and I’m looking forward to seeing you again. STAY WELL!!!!

      Love and Hugs, Tamara

  2. Tamara,
I want to sign up for the Galilee bootie class. I’ll go to Twist to make sure I am not missed. I hope Terry gets better and can go home to his family. Have a good weekend with your mom and John,
    Kaye

    • Hi Kaye!

I’m so glad that you want to take my class and am looking forward to teaching others to crochet the booties too. I heard from my sis-in-law that Terry will be coming home from the hospital today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well. Looking forward to seeing you on Monday. 🙂

  3. Your crochet always inspire me girl. Someday when I grow up I want to learn to crochet just like you. I didn’t know Terry has been in the hospital. Hope he is feeling better soon. I’m sure seeing his Mom and sister will make a difference. Love you girl. sw

    • Hi Sue!

Thanks for loving my crochet and of course if you ever are in town and decide you want to learn to crochet please call me and I will sit with you and teach you. 🙂

Sue….in my last post I posted a picture of Terry with Sarah and said that he was in the hospital. Now how can you say that you didn’t know Terry was in the hospital? LOL By the way I got word that he is going home today, so we will see how well he is doing when Mom and I get there.

      Love you too!
      Tamara

      • I don’t always see your posts Tammy. I know if I would have seen that one I would have asked about him. It’s also possible that I read it and forgot. Now that I’m old I forget them frequently. lol
Glad he is going home today. sw

  4. Sue, hahahahaha! 🙂 I love you even though you are old! 😉

  5. Cute Cute Booties!!
I’m glad you & your mom w/b visiting Terry at his home rather than in the hospital. He should be feeling much better now.
