September 21-27, 2013 My Week in Pictures

1

I enjoyed watching and helping Debbie and Vanessa on Saturday morning feel more confident as they continue to love to crochet.

2

Jackie, Mom, and me drove to and from Oklahoma to celebrate my cousin Brynda’s surprise 50th birthday party.

Megan wanted to have her birthday party with family at the same park she has had it at for 4 or 5 years. I was so happy that Ava, Raymond, Benjamin, and Kaelynn could make it. Jennifer and Megan’s neighbors came too. Coben was able to be there too but I’m sorry to say I didn’t get any pictures of him since I was leaving at the time he was arriving. (I know he would have smiled really big for me)

Jackie turned 55 on Saturday and since we were in Oklahoma her children decided to have dinner for her on Sunday. Emilee and Angie are becoming quite the cooks.  😉  John, Jennifer, Megan, and me sure enjoyed the food and company.

The kids sure had a blast playing outside and riding in the jeep. Sorry Jackie this is the only picture that I got of you at your birthday party.

I bet you thought I forgot about crocheting? Nope! I continued to make more scarves, cowls, headband/earwarmers, and pop top bracelets.

Megan’s school had their music program “Dancing Through the Ages”. Megan is finally coming out of her shell and did a wonderful job of dancing.

KS My Stitch’s Annual retreat was Saturday, September 28th. We always have a good time at our retreat and gosh our guild sure does have good crocheters and cooks. 🙂

Sunday, September 29th was spent setting up my booth for the Kansas Barn Sale in my driveway. I always set up my booth prior to the sale so that I know exactly where everything needs to be placed. Then I take pictures of all of the displays and then take the pictures with me to the sale so that I can set it up quickly and then I have time to enjoy the sale. I hope everyone has been doing well for the last few weeks and I hope you have a great week. I wanted to let you all know that I will be gone from here until after the Kansas Barn Sale, Saturday, October 5th. But I plan on being back to normal blogging the following week.

I plan on having a wonderful time at the sale and can’t wait to see so many new and old friends at the same time. Now I need to go downstairs and hopefully get another scarf completed before heading off to work. Have a great week and weekend.

  8. Tamara, I am so excited for you. It looks like you have a bunch of goodies to sell. Saturdays weather looks much more promising than last year. Just make sure you bring coffee or hot chocolate for setting up in the morning. It will be a cool one. Wish I could come visit your booth this year, but we are going out of town for the day. Miss you and good luck this weekend. P.S. Don’t forget to have fun and enjoy the day. You are a talented friend.

    • Hi Donna!

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement and the reminder of bringing a thermos. We are going to set up the tables and canopy Friday evening and spend the night there. I think it will be less stressful for the setup. We will miss seeing you and I hope you have a wonderful weekend; stay safe. Thanks again for the kind words; I feel the same way about you, Talented Friend of mine!

      Love you,
      Tamara

  9. Tamara,

I didn’t get any notice of the Crochet Guild this month that I know of. Neither did Joann. But she called this a.m. to see if I was going so we hopefully, will be there tonight. Do you think you could bring those gourds tonight, or tell me sometime I could go get them this week before Wed. I hope you got an invitation to the From the Studio sale this weekend. See you tonight. Sue
