First of all I want to thank all of you for your sweet and kind comments from my last blog post. I am very grateful that you read my blog and enjoy what I talk about. Next thing I’m sure you already could figure out that I will be away from here for longer periods of time in my preparation for the Kansas Barn Sale. I only have a few more weeks and it looks like the last two weekends before the sale are already spoken for. Second of all I want to share some highlights of my weekend and week. I finished my stripey scarf that I showed you from the last post.
Since I have nothing better to do, I spent too much time on Facebook and one of the crochet pages that I “Like” showed a picture of a doily afghan. Well-l-l-l that lead to me purchasing the pattern, starting, and finishing four of them this last weekend; a light aqua one, a brown one, a pale violet one,
and a cranberry red one. I love how they all turned out and I am looking forward to seeing how they sell at the Kansas Barn Sale.
We had our monthly crochet guild meeting.
I made more bracelets and in answer to Alice’s question, “Yes” I am having fun making these simple little items and I think a lot of people will enjoy wearing them as well. 🙂 At first I was going to only make 12 of them. Well I have made over 20 and when I show people what I have been working on, they want to buy them; so now I only have 5 left. I had better get to crackin’ on those since they seem to be a HOT item.
I received my prize money for winning second place in the over 12” doily category. I thought it was funny that the name of the person that signed the first line on the check is the same name as my nieces’ maiden name. 😉 I have decided to make some cowls and earwarmer headbands, so I need to get off of here and get to crocheting. I hope everyone is doing well and I promise I will be back to blogging more regular when the sale is over. Love you all and hope you have a wonderful weekend.
I love everything you’ve made, but especially the doily afghans. I would like to purchase the pattern as well, can you send me the shop link?

I really like the fun/colorful scarf. When where is the Barn Sale?

Hi Linda!
Thanks for loving the scarf. The barn sale is on Saturday, October 5th from 9-4 near Hesston, KS. Just head to Hesston and there will be signs leading you there as you exit to go to Hesston off of the highway. See you soon. Hugs, Tamara

Hi Tamara!
I love your wall decor where your doily afghans are hanging. Could you please tell me what yarn you used and the approx. diameter of the doily-afghan? So purrty!
Hey – you better hurry up and cash that hefty check ‘cuz it expires in 6 months. Bwaaaa-Haaaa!!! ;-D
So funny that you sold 15 of the 20 bracelets you made, before the barn sale is even here. That’s a great NEW barn they erected for the $ale this year. Have fun getting ready for it…. tick-tock-tick-tock…
Love ya!

Hi Kat!
Thanks for loving the wall decor in my kitchen. The yarn that I used is Hobby Lobby’s “I Love this Yarn”. I really do love that yarn and all the many colors to choose from. Since the clock is ticking so quickly I have to run now to try and finish up a few more of the bracelets before heading off to work. As always thank you so much for stopping by to comment; you always make my day.
Love you!
Tamara
