April 6-7, 2013 Weekend, Resting, Family, and a Little Bit of Crochet

- Little suncatcher that hangs in Mom’s kitchen window. My Megan was over on Friday night. I asked her what her plans were for the weekend and she said that she was going to spend the night with her friend who I had made the yellow and orange hat for. I had heard from her Mommy that her friend and her were mad at each other the day after she gave her the hat. So I asked her about the fight they had that day. She said, “oh Gran Gran, the next day we always forget”. Mom told me about how she had gathered with a few of her friends from her school days last week. She said she had a wonderful time reminiscing. I know I have a great time when I can gather with my friends and they always seem to cheer me up or make me feel well again.
- KS My Stitch officers meeting on Saturday.
- Tortilla soup, pico de gallo, and chips for lunch.
- Pumpkin Bread for dessert made by Lucy.
- My best friend this last weekend was my pink fuzzy warm robe, as I was feeling under the weather.
- Bottle Art made by my dear husband for his sister.
- Onions are growing.
- Crocodile Stitch Baby Booties designed by Lianka Azulay from Bonita Patterns.
- Second baby bootie made from the same skein of yarn. That’s what I get for making them from the last part of the yarn.
- Ironing help from John. I had two stacks of clothes on the bed in the room that I iron in. One stack is to give away and the other one is the stack of ironing. John ironed a pair of pajamas that was in the giveaway pile. 🙂 Then he wonders why I don’t ask for help.
- Breakfast with Mom.
- My nephew is raising rabbits. Black and white Dalmation looking baby bunnies.
- Brownish baby bunnies.
- The bunny daddy.
- Cute little plastic jar that Mom keeps her Splenda in.
- Lunch at my house with Jackie, Mom, and John.
- A visit with Megan and Jennifer at thier house. Megan just will not pose for photos anymore.
- Megan and me.
- Anyone in Wichita recognize this building? John and I went to dinner there on Sunday. Lots of memories made in and around this building.
- Monday night charity workshop.
- Four more purple hats for charity.
- Every branch and bud was covered with ice on Wednesday into Thursday morning.
- Crocheter’s Life Explained. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. The End!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I thought you might get a kick out of that particular one. You’ll really get a kick out of this: I ironed the other pair that was in the giveaway pile so that they would match. 🙂 🙂 I could see if my nephew will ship to South Africa? Love, Tamara

Love the blog in pictures and I also about chocked when I saw the pajamas that John ironed. He actually does a wonderful job ironing. Love hearing from you girl, I was worried about you when you didn’t post anything this week. Your Mom looks frustrated in that one(serving breakfast) picture but looks happier in the picture with Meagan. Have a good week. Love you sw

Hi Sue!
I thought you might get a kick out of John ironing the pajamas, but the funny thing is that I went back and ironed the other set so that they would match. Now they’re all ready to go to Junk in the Trunk. 🙂 You were right about Mom being confused; she is having a hard time processing things any more. It’s hard watching her go through this as you already know. Mom seems to light up around the little ones and that makes us all smile.
Love you, Tamara

Glad your feeling up to all these pics. Trust a restful weekend will make a big difference. I’ve been thinking about trying the crocodile stitch. The Booties are just darling. Not understanding what you said about using the end of the yarn. Have a great weekend and see you at Guild.

Hi Linda!
Thanks so much for stopping by to comment and I’ll have to show you what I meant by using the end of the yarn at tomorrows guild meeting.
