Guess What This Is!

On Tuesday my friend and co-worker Amanda D. asked me if I could make this for her. I got out the yarns that I wanted to use for it that same night so that I could get started on it right away when I awoke at my usual 3:26 am on Wednesday morning. I managed to finish it before I left for work around 7:00 am. Of course I started 2 loads of laundry, ate my breakfast and took a shower and got ready for work in that amount of time too.

Now can anyone guess what it is? The person who guesses what it is by Sunday evening at 6:00 pm will win something made by me. I’m not sure what yet but it will be cool. In case of a tie; the names will be placed in a basket and the one that John draws out will be the winner. Good Luck and Happy Guessing. And of course Amanda is not eligible or anyone else that saw it or heard what it was on Wednesday is not eligible either. And if no one guesses, then I guess whoever comments will get their name in a drawing for something cool made by me.

Oh by the way I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I hope I don’t lock myself out of any more cars. Ha! Ha!

  1. Hi Tamara, when I first saw your crocheted item I thought it might be a cover for a hot baking pan or something you would slide into to keep the contents warm, but after seeing that last photo, I know that can’t be right. Is it a protective cover for a large kitchen knife?

    • Hi Merri!

That’s a very good guess. I’ll let you know on Monday if anyone guesses correctly and thank you so much for stopping by to comment. 🙂

  2. Is it for a seatbelt neck/shoulder strap? It’s very pretty!

PS/When I try to post a comment it doesn’t let me use my blogger profile, which is what I always use. I don’t like using my facebook log in and I can’t remember my wordpress password. :o(

    • Hi Kathy!

I’m so sorry that you are having trouble commenting and thank you for the guess on what my crocheted item is. I’ll let you know on Monday if anyone guesses it. Thanks for taking the extra amount of time that it took you to leave a comment. I do appreciate all the comments. Have a great day!

  3. I’m guessing a seatbelt strap cover. It looks great! Can’t wait to see what the right answer is!

    • Hi Mindy!

Thanks for playing along and thank you for stopping by to comment. I’ll let you know on Monday.

      Love & Hugs,

  4. I’m guessing it goes over your dogs collar to give him or her a little flair and warmth in the winter months. Or it could be a cover for your gear shift. Have a good weekend. Luv you girl. sw

    • Hi Sue!

Thanks for stopping by to comment. I’ll let you know on Monday if you’re correct. Have a great massage today!

      Love you too!

  5. I’ve racking my brains! My suggestion is that it is to cover the handle of a teapot or a coffeepot.

    • Hi Jill!

Good guess. I’ll let you know on Monday if anyone guesses it right.

  6. hi tamara…………….i’m going to guess it goes over the seat belt in a vehicle. it reminds me of one i have that is velcroed. at first i thought it might be a cover for a cane–or maybe i was hoping it was…… cane is ugly–it could sure use a makeover…….lol
    have a great day

    • Hi Sara!

Thank you for stopping by to guess and you made me smile when you said at first you thought it might be a cover for a cane. I’ll let you know if anyone guesses correctly on Monday. Thanks for being here.

  7. My guess is a seat belt cover. I know how much the seat belt is a pain for me.

    • Hi Linda!

Thank you so much for stopping by to comment and guess on my unusual thingy. I’ll let you know on Monday.

  8. Hi Tamara! The cover looks like quite a cushy seat-belt cover. Or one could use it to keep a loaf of French bread warm. Whatever it is, it’s darn cute! I also like your little flowers photographed on the crocheted doily.
    Love ya!
