My Aunt Marthie’s Visit and a New Washcloth

My Mom’s sister (my Aunt Marthie) came to stay with her this week and I decided to have them all over for dinner on Wednesday night,

plus my little Megan and Jennifer. Of course they couldn’t turn me down since I told them that we were having my famous tacos, rice, Pico de Gallo, chips and salsa. (Ha! Ha!) I also knew my sister had wanted some of my tacos, so I invited her too. I wish I could have all of you over for my tacos too, now wouldn’t that been fun?

Before everyone arrived I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take a 4 generation photo since I didn’t get one taken at Christmas, or at my Mom’s birthday party so this would be the best time. It’s unbelievable how hard it is to take a good picture of one person let alone 4.

Here’s one of the first ones that we took. (What’s Megan looking at?)

Here’s the one that I like the best. (even though Megan was already tired of taking pictures)

We continued to take pictures of different groups, in one of the photos my Mom’s eyes were closed and everyone else was good, in this one I just had to be talking and everyone else looked really good.

This was the best one of me with my Aunt Marthie, Sister, and my Mom.

Here’s one of my sister, my Mom and me.

I especially love this one of my Mom and her sister. Do you know what the funny thing was? I didn’t even tell anyone that I was going to take pictures and can you believe that my Mom and daughter and I had coordinating colors on? Even Aunt Marthie and Jackie blended right in. Anyway we had a nice visit and I was so glad that my Aunt could spend some time here with my Mom. It’s always nice to have some quality sister time, don’t you agree?

On the crochet front I’ve gone a little crazy again and I am determined to bust my stash of size 3 crochet yarn.

Here’s what I came up with on Monday a new round washcloth pattern. I love how you can use even those little pieces of yarn for this project. And hopefully this pattern will be available to all of you soon. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend or for those whose days run into each other a wonderful Saturday and Sunday. 🙂

  1. Hi Tamara!

That pic where you are talking …. kinda looks like you are blowing a kiss. 😉
I love how the women’s clothes were color-coordinated galore! Great minds think alike, ya know — and I guess you 3 were having a telepathic day. LOL!!

Why on earth would you want to “bust your stash” of size 3 crochet thread??!!?? As you know, I just added — a LOT! — to my size 3 stash. I am getting closer & closer to completing my …. uh …. that flower. OH!! I could call mine a Wallflower!!! 🙂

I am so glad you got some 4-generation photos! Priceless treasures … the photos AND you women (& girl).

    • Kat,

Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting about the photos. I love all of them even if some of them are messed up.

I really just want to get rid of all of my Size 3 yarn so that I can go and get some new colors. 🙂 Hee! Hee!

I can’t wait to see your flower

      Love & Hugs,
      Tamara

      • LOL!!! Now I get it! Now I fully understand about your wanting to “bust your stash”…. ‘cuz I know I am quite thrilled with all MY new colors!!! 😀
        Giggles ‘n Hugs ~~

  2. Love the four-generation photos!!

    • Thanks Kathryn, I do too.

      Hugs,
      Tamara

  3. We always seem to wear the same colors, even Megan and I do it without even trying. Lol! And Megan was looking at the cactus poking me in the back in the first pic. Ha ha! I’m so glad we took these pics even though my baby girl hates taking pics. Sigh…….
