First of all here’s my progress on my socks. I just love how small the stitches are and I can’t figure out what they look like, but they don’t look like a normal knit stitch. Oh well I like them and that’s the main thing, huh?
Next up is the progress on my Japanese shawl.
I didn’t realize how hard this would be to photograph, but it is.
For one thing it’s very long and the only thing long enough in my house is either a wall or the floor. I guess the next shot will have to be the wall, because this little pinkish cabinet is not going to be big enough for the whole thing.
I wanted to share with you a little something. Some of you may know that I’ve been crocheting some of the cutest little Mary Jane shoes, and little Boy loafers and I’m sure you’ve been wondering what I was going to do with them. Well, I was talking to my friend Shelly Stilger who owns Twist Yarn Shop the other day and told her that I would like to find a little boutique to carry my shoes and sweaters exclusively.
She suggested that I try this little shop in the same neighborhood as her, called Sweet Cheeks, LLC. I went in yesterday after work and introduced myself to
Julie the owner (that’s her in the background with her little girl Macey) and she’s as sweet as the name of her store. She said that she would like to try selling the little shoes; as she thought they were very cute and she loved the colors that I chose to make them out of. For now she took just a few pairs to see the response she gets and then she will let me know. I told her I would love to leave one of the little sleeveless sweaters to see if she got any interest in them also and she agreed. Thank you so much Julie!
I loved all the cute gift items she carries in her store; along with the biggest selection of cloth diaper covers I think I’ve ever seen.
She also carries organic baby soaps, and lotions, don’t you know I really love that hot pink shelf that the soaps are on too. Anyway, it’s time for me to ship off my pincushions from the swap that I had organized here and I will post some pictures of them as soon as the recipients receive theirs. So tah tah for now, I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week and I’ll talk to you on Friday.
I’m so excited, Tamara! I really hope buyers at Sweet Cheeks (too cute!) will buy your baby booties and sleeveless sweater. I’m glad Julie agreed to trying at least one sweater ‘cuz I would think mommies would love those. Oh, but maybe they would sell better at the end of summer, huh? Fingers, toes, arms, legs, & eyes are all crossed — and so are Emma’s paws! 😉

Kat,
Thank you so much for being you!!!! I always love hearing from you and you make me feel so much better. Especially with all of those things crossed. I think the sweaters may do better at the end of summer into fall too:) Thanks again for being here.
Love you,
Tamara

Joshua,
Thanks for the vote of confidence. I’m beginning to wonder, even though I know it’s too hot for anyone to think about wanting a sweater right now:)
