Another Great Nephew and Baby Boy Shoes

My niece Angie had her baby boy on Monday, May 9th he weighed in at 8 lbs. 9 oz. and they named him Truman Lee. I love this picture of him and me where it looks like he’s smiling. Maybe it’s because his Great Aunt is holding him? He’s so cute just like his Momma, Daddy, and

sister Ava. I did bring him a little crocheted hat but didn’t want to mess his hair up. Ha! Ha! Thanks Travis and Angie for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful miracle of life.

There’s not much to report on the crochet front. I’m still trying to grow my stash of baby shoes so that I can present them to a boutique here in town for sale. That’s what I loved about The Lovely Crow patterns, is that she allows you to use your finished items for personal use or if you want to sell them you can. I’m trying to make a lot of little boys shoes because it seems like I always see cute little girls shoes, but rarely see that many cute baby boy shoes. And I think these baby boy shoes are just about the cutest I’ve ever seen. I would’ve tried them on Truman but he had just gotten his foot poked to have blood taken. What’s going on with you this week?

  1. Oh, what a sweet baby boy, and a beautiful photo, Tamara! Yes, it does look like he’s smiling!. He knows how much he’s loved! Congratulations on this newest member to your family!… Loving all the baby shoes you’ve been making! Haven’t you always found it’s hard finding cute clothes/accessories for baby boys? So MANY ADORABLE things for girls, but not so many for boys, so I think your baby shoes should be a very appreciated item to find in this little boutique you mentioned!… As for me, I’m still working on my throw pillow. Is American Idol on tonight? Oh, I’ll definitely get some more done on it while that’s on! (0; And then I think I’ll be doing a couple potholders! Have a great day! ~tina

    • Tina,

Thank you for agreeing with me about baby boy items. I always had a hard time finding cute little things for my Joshua when he was a baby and I do love to find cute boy things too. I’m glad you like my color combinations for the boys shoes.

OMG! You watch American Idol too? So do I. I can hardly wait to see the throw pillow and pot holders that you are making. Have a lovely fun filled day. Love, Tamara

  2. Darling, darling! So happy for Angie and Travis. Ava looks like she will wait to give her opinion. Love seeing the booties. I know Truman will have several pair!

    • Hi Steph,

I hear that Ava is warming up to having a little brother. We’ll see how it goes when they get home. As you knew Truman does have a pair of those cute little shoes. Thanks for stopping by.

      Love and Hug,
      Tamara

  3. Congrats on becoming a Great-Aunt again, Tamara. Truman is a little (uh, big? – LOL) darling. And I just know sweet little Ava is going to have fun playing with her little brother (a “big baby doll”). 😉

Your baby shoes will sell like hotcakes in that boutique. Well, as long as women keep having babies anyway. tee-hee!

    • Kat,

Truman is a good size boy and yes I think Ava will be a very good sister (mama). She loves helping out and loves to play with her own baby dolls. Thanks for liking my little baby shoes and I hope lots of people will like buying them for gifts too.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening.

      Love and Hugs,
      Tamara
