It’s time to vote on a name for my afghan that I just finished for the Crochet Guild of America Design Contest. We had 5 people who gave me names that they felt best suited my afghan. I can’t make up my mind, because all of them are very good. I’m asking all of you to help me choose the name you like best from the following names:
1. Granny Kaleidoscope (Susie Kilgroe)
2. Everlasting Harmony (Cheryl Gibbs)
3. Granny Kaleidoscope Gone Wild (Kelly Wilson)
4. Grannies Gone Wild (Steph Macera)
5. Candy Kaleidoscope (Donna Dixon)
Please help me to name my afghan by leaving a message here and telling me which one you think I should use for its name. The person that gets the most votes will win this doily
of course it will be completed by then, (ha! ha!) but this is the progress on the prize doily so far. The person with the next most votes will win a book called colorful cuddlers and there are four different baby afghan patterns in this book published by Leisure Arts and designs by Becky Stevens:
This pattern looks very interesting to me with the sideways stripes.
The person with the next most votes will win a pin cushion of my choosing. I’m not quite sure which one yet but I know it will be very cute, like these are.
So please post a comment on which name you like best and I will count the votes up and name the winner on Friday, May 6, 2011. So go tell everyone to come here and vote for their favorite, so I can go on to other things. I can hardly wait to show you what I’ve been working on between everything else. Well, dang, this is hard! Since I know all the gals who came up with a name except Donna, I printed off all the afghan names without the owner of the name, then selected (you know I can’t remember anything for 5 minutes, so obviously I didn’t remember who offered what name!!)
My choice is Grannies Gone Wild! I hope you get a majority on one name so you don’t have to crochet 5 doilies! HA HA HA HA HA HA

No fair. They are all good names. (It seems silly not to vote for the name you submitted, though). What if the prize I want is the pin cushion.. how can I vote so my name gets picked 3rd?
I vote for #3. Granny’s Kaleidoscope Gone Wild! – That seems like a good compromise.
At any rate, it is a beautiful piece of art and I am so happy to have seen it evolve!
