Well, I managed to finish a hat this week. It was the black Snowy Day hat and guess what? It was way too big. So instead of trying to find all the ends that I wove in and I mean I wove them in so that sucker was not coming apart, I will make a whole new one. One of my plans will be to finish another black Snowy Day hat, only smaller. I can’t believe that I only have one hat done this week, but that’s just how some weeks go. Do you ever have weeks like that?
Sometime during the weekend I plan on doing dinner and a movie with my dear husband, deliver 2 more hats; one to my niece and one to my great nephew while attending a birthday party for
Tolan, who just turned 6.
I’m hoping that my Dad will be out of the hospital in time to go to the birthday party too. He gets so much enjoyment out of the kids, as I do too. It’s so much fun watching them play and I hope the weather holds up for them to play outside. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for all the above.
I have really wanted to check this place out for a couple of months now. I’m still not sure that I like the name of the store. Although I do have a lot of Junk in My Trunk (and I don’t mean yarn) Ha! Ha! I don’t think I want to be reminded about it. But I won’t hold it against them until I can check them out. I’ll be sure to let you all know what my experience was. I don’t think I will be able to fit it in this weekend, but there’s always next weekend, right?
Oh by the way, I forgot to show you the pictures of my great, great nephews in their hats. Here’s Zane,
and here is Adrion. I hope I get to see them this weekend too, while at Tolan’s birthday party.
I hope you all have a wonderful fun filled weekend of crocheting or whatever you like to do. I love you all and will talk to you on Monday.
Tip: When I’ve made a hat that’s too big I sometimes turn it upside down and convert it into a tote bag with a drawstring and / or shoulder straps. 🙂

That’s a really good idea, everyone could use a nice black bag, huh? Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. I do appreciate them all. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Joshua,
I think those little children are cute too. I can’t wait to squeeze them in person too. It sounds like you are goin to have fun this weekend and maybe get some important work done too. Thanks for being here and it doesn’t look like Grandpa will be getting out of the hospital today, so no trip for him.
Love you,
Momma

What a bunch of cuties! I love the two-pointed hats, too. I’ve never tried one… I should, I always think they’re adorable.
Enjoy your weekend! Hope your dad is getting better and that everyone has a good time at the party.

Mindy,
Thanks for stopping by to comment. I will have to do a tutorial on those cute little hats. They are so simple.
My Dad is at home now and seems to be doing much better. Thank you for asking. I hope you have a very restful weekend free of pain.:)
Love & Hugs,
Tamara
